The border was bustling, even with the obvious apprehension of the people. News travelled fast between the common folk, especially of the slower aging. Alarice adjusted her cowl; she rarely left her palace these days, but her face was well known. If anyone recognised her, she would have to tell them where she was going. Valeda was far more enthused for the journey than Alarice. For the longest time Alarice had been “feeling”. The emotions of too many people had begun to touch the traces of her Empathy. Alarice stood in her office, looking over her map. Once she stood here with all other Leaders as they decided on their borders. Now she stood with only her closest allies, bar one, as they discussed the many murders that have been happening recently. Her brother, Lyall, had recently returned from training with the Revenants.
